I stayed at the Rutledge house and had probably the best experience of my life! Everyone there treated us fantastic. Think of it like a retreat where you can actually focus on yourself, without all of lifes hassles. I was in a dark place when I found this place. I am from Kentucky where places like this simply don't exist. They asked me some questions to make sure I qualified, and I'm glad I did! They helped me a lot and were able to get my medications right as well as give me a bunch of tools to help cope with society. They diagnosed me as well. I really can't speak highly enough. 5* for sure and I would add more if I could. If you're wanting to find yourself again and serious about your mental health, trust me, Don't hesitate!💯 😁 Edit: I went to the Murfreesboro location recently as well and feel obligated to express my appreciation there as well. Everyone treated me so nicely which allowed me to adjust and feel comfortable much faster. The staff was great as well as the amenities! These places allow smoking but in designated area so as to not interfere with people who do not choose to do so. A BIG thank you to everyone!!
We utilize a variety of treatment modalities to teach our patients the coping skills they need to find stability and discover their self-awareness.
Having trouble focusing or being easily distracted due to anxious thoughts.
Anxiety is an umbrella term, and the label alone rarely explains what a person is living with. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), about one in three American adults will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in life. Knowing which form you are facing shapes the therapies your clinical team leans on first. The table below outlines the forms of anxiety treatment Nashville adults most often seek at our Murfreesboro-area facility.
Type of Anxiety | What it can feel like | How treatment helps |
|---|---|---|
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) | Worry that attaches itself to everyday matters and refuses to switch off | Therapy targets the worry cycle itself, alongside psychiatric support |
Panic Disorder | Sudden surges of fear with a pounding heart, dizziness, or a sense of losing control | Clients learn to read early body signals and interrupt the spiral before it peaks |
Social Anxiety Disorder | Intense fear of being judged that makes meetings, classes, or gatherings feel unsafe | Gradual, supported practice restores confidence in social settings |
Phobia-Related Anxiety | An outsized fear tied to one specific object or situation | Careful, step-by-step exposure shrinks the fear response over time |
Many adults arrive carrying more than one of these at once, sometimes alongside low mood or broken sleep. Because our clinicians address overlapping conditions together rather than one at a time, a second diagnosis never has to wait its turn. Symptoms also rarely stay in their lane: sleep suffers, focus slips, and irritability builds until relationships feel the strain. Naming the pattern early is often what turns a hard season around.

When stepping away from home is not realistic, our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) delivers structured anxiety care by secure video to adults statewide across Tennessee, from Franklin and Davidson County to the far corners of the state. Both programs belong to the same continuum of mental health treatment in Nashville, and moving between levels as your needs shift is expected rather than exceptional.
Getting started takes four steps, and none of them commits you to anything:
Call or send a message, and an admissions specialist will listen, answer questions, and explain what comes next.
Share your insurance details and we will check your coverage for you, quickly and confidentially.
A clinician reviews your history and current symptoms to recommend the level of care that fits.
Admission can often be arranged the same day it is needed.
Most people move through all four steps within a single afternoon. To prepare ahead, our what to bring checklist covers clothing, personal items, and the few things best left at home, and the weekly family program gives the people closest to you a defined role from the very first week.
